{"id":11473,"date":"2014-10-27T12:00:08","date_gmt":"2014-10-27T11:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/2014\/10\/27\/eiffage-energia-participa-en-el-30-de-la-potencia-fotovoltaica-instalada-en-chile\/"},"modified":"2014-10-27T12:00:08","modified_gmt":"2014-10-27T11:00:08","slug":"eiffage-energia-involved-in-the-development-of-30-total-photovoltaic-power-installed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/en\/2014\/10\/27\/eiffage-energia-involved-in-the-development-of-30-total-photovoltaic-power-installed\/","title":{"rendered":"Eiffage Energ\u00eda involved in the development of 30% total photovoltaic power installed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After being awarded last August the civil Works of\u00a0<strong>PV Javiera (Chile)<\/strong>, Eiffage Energ\u00eda through its branch in that country will be involved in the construction of\u00a0<strong>191 MW<\/strong>\u00a0for its client Sun Edison, which means 30% of total photovoltaic power installed in this country so far.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photovoltaic Plant Javiera<\/strong>\u00a0is located in Atacama Desert, the area with the largest concentration of solar irradiation all over the world, which will have 228.160 modules and\u00a0<strong>69 MW<\/strong>\u00a0of total power installed.<\/p>\n<p>The photovoltaic plant, which will occupy 180 hectares, will pour all generated power to the interconnected central system (SIC), and it will be used to supply to Pelambres company, which works in the extraction and production of cupper concentrated and molybdenum in Coquimbo Region. PV Plant&#8217;s interconnection is forecasted\u00a0within the first three month of 2015. The project will turn into one of the largest PV Plants in Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>The other PV projects where Eiffage Energ\u00eda has been involved are:\u00a0<strong>PV San Andr\u00e9s<\/strong>, located near Copiap\u00f3-Atacama municipality, with\u00a0<strong>50 MW<\/strong>\u00a0total power installed and 200.000 modules; and\u00a0<strong>PV\u00a0 Crucero<\/strong>, which occupy 185 hectares, with 240.640 modules and\u00a0<strong>72 MW<\/strong>\u00a0total power installed<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wind farm projects in Latin America<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Besides PV Plants, Eiffage Energ\u00eda is carrying out other renewables projects in Latin America. Its presence started in 2012 when it was awarded its first work, which involved the construction of\u00a0<strong>Caetit\u00e9 Wind farm (Brazil)<\/strong>\u00a0for Iberdrola Renovables. Works involve infrastructures for 45 Gamesa turbines G-90-2MW and a total power of\u00a0<strong>90 MW<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Eiffage Energ\u00eda finished last September another project for its client Acciona Energ\u00eda, which involves carrying out the high voltage power line and the substation Las Palmas, within\u00a0<strong>Punta Palmeras wind farm (Chile)<\/strong>. It has\u00a0<strong>15 3MW-wind turbines<\/strong>, which are the biggest operating in Chile so far.
