{"id":13266,"date":"2016-11-10T10:51:21","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T09:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/2016\/11\/10\/alumnos-la-universidad-tecnologica-chile-visitan-parque-solar-quilapilun\/"},"modified":"2016-11-10T10:51:21","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T09:51:21","slug":"students-of-the-technological-university-of-chile-visit-the-quilapilun-solar-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/en\/2016\/11\/10\/students-of-the-technological-university-of-chile-visit-the-quilapilun-solar-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Students of the Technological University of Chile visit the Quilapil\u00fan Solar Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 24 October, a group of students from the Studies Program of Electronic Engineering from the Technological University of Chile (INACAP), made a tour of the installations at the <a href=\"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/project\/photovoltaic-plant-in-quilapiln-chile\/\"><strong>Quilapil\u00fan Solar Park<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 20 students who visited the photovoltaic installation, located in the municipality of Colina belonging to the Metropolitan Region, <strong>were able to get to know the construction stages of the plant<\/strong>, the assembly and everything that comprises the laying and assembly of the electrical discipline.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of <a href=\"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/eiffage-energia\/eiffage-chile\/\"><strong>Eiffage Energ\u00eda Chile<\/strong><\/a> in 2013 responded to the growing international expansion of the company. Specialising in the implementation and management of energy projects, civil works and construction, it offers a 360 \u00ba service\u200bwhich covers and includes all phases of the project.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Quilapil\u00fan Photovoltaic Plant is one of the largest in Latin America<\/strong>, with an overall budget of more than 130 mm USD. It has 350,000 photovoltaic modules and achieves an output of 110 MW, which can generate 242 GWH of energy per year. This allows achieving the <strong>elimination of more than 125,000 tons of CO2 per year<\/strong>. The solar plant is connected to the Central Interconnection System (SIC), which makes clean energy available in the central area of the country.<\/p>\n<p>But Quilapil\u00fan Solar Park is not Eiffage Energ\u00eda Chile&#8217;s only big project in the Latin American country. In the <strong>Atacama Desert<\/strong>, the area of greatest concentration of solar radiation on the planet, is the <a href=\"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/project\/photovoltaic-farm-in-javiera-chile\/\"><strong>Javiera Photovoltaic Park<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This installation, located in the driest desert in the world, has <strong>228,160 photovoltaic panels on an area of\u200b180 hectares<\/strong>. Since the first quarter of 2015, it supplies energy to the SIC. Also in the Atacama desert, in the municipality of Sierra Gorda, is a booster substation of 33\/220 KV and a <a href=\"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/electric-infrastructure\/\"><strong>high voltage line<\/strong><\/a> of 40 km and 1\u00d7220 KV.<\/p>\n<p>In Copiap\u00f3-Atacama there is the <a href=\"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/project\/photovoltaic-solar-installation-in-san-andrs-chile\/\"><strong>San Andr\u00e9s Photovoltaic Plant<\/strong><\/a>, one of the world&#8217;s largest commercial solar photovoltaic plants. With a budget of over 11 mm USD, this plant has 200,000 solar panels and 50 MWp on trackers.<\/p>\n<p>Another of Eiffage Energ\u00eda Chile&#8217;s interesting projects is the <strong>Punta Palmeras Windfarm<\/strong> in the municipality of Canela, in the Quoquimbo Region. There can be found the 15 most powerful wind turbines operating in Chile.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/energia.eiffage.es\/en\/project\/photovoltaic-solar-plant-in-crucero-chile\/\"><strong>Crucero Photovoltaic Solar Plant<\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong>is in the municipality of Maria Elena, in the Antofagasta region. It has 240,640 panels on an area of185 hectares.\u00a0 Furthermore, the \u00a0<strong>solar plants of Chapeana and Mollacas<\/strong> are located in the Coquimbo region, near the town of Ovalle. These plants have more than 19,000 panels of 350 WP and a joint capacity of 6 MW.<\/p>\n<p>The development and the implementation of all these projects not only strengthens the presence of <strong>Eiffage Energ\u00eda in Chile<\/strong>, but confirms the growing expansion and presence of our company at international level.
