Three companies have become partners to implement this project. The <strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif;\">Eiffage Group<\/span><\/strong> along with the Japanese groups Sojitz and Shikoku Electric Power will be responsible for implementing the operation of Huatacondo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #333333;\">The installation ceremony was attended by various personalities such as Jos\u00e9 Miguel Villablanca, chief of the division of National Assets, Claudia Rojas Campos, Regional Intendant of Tarapaca, and Jimena Quilodr\u00e1n Jara, State Secretary for Energy. In addition to <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/en\/interview-with-javier-garcia-cruzado-director-of-eiffage-energia-chile\/\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif;\">Javier Garc\u00eda Cruzado, General Manager of Eiffage Energ\u00eda Chile<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #333333;\">, Toshifumi Murata, Vice President for the Americas from Sojitz Corporation and Kazuichi Ikeda, Senior Manager of Shikoku Electrical Power Co. Inc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #333333;\">The photovoltaic power plant will have nearly <strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif;\">300 thousand solar panels and its installations will occupy about 350 hectares<\/span><\/strong>. Located at kilometre 1,697.4 of route 5, in the commune of Pozo Almonte, it is one of largest solar plants in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #333333;\">For 30 years, the works and maintenance of the plant will be performed by <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/en\/eiffage-energia\/eiffage-chile\/\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif;\">Eiffage Energ\u00eda Chile<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #333333;\">, thanks to its extensive experience in implementing and managing large projects in the areas of energy, civil engineering and construction work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #333333;\">The importance of this activity, which will be part of the <strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif;\">&#8220;Energy 2050&#8221; project in Chile<\/span><\/strong> lies in producing 70% of electricity from renewable energies by that year.
