It\u2019s almost time to send off this year, that for Eiffage Energ\u00eda<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has been filled with new projects, awards and several other items of good news. Therefore, before the new year starts, let us look back at all the activities and projects that the company has carried out throughout these months. This is a reminder that continuing along this path is the key to building a more sustainable world in which to live.<\/p>\n

New AENOR certificates<\/p>\n

Throughout this year, the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification [AENOR]<\/strong><\/a> has recognised Eiffage Energ\u00eda\u2019s commitment to quality, the environment, and energy efficiency. The award of \u00a0new AENOR certificates<\/strong><\/a> allows us to improve the Company\u2019s development and operations, at the same time guaranteeing its good performance and competitiveness in the market.<\/p>\n

New Headquarters in Albacete<\/p>\n

As an national and international benchmark, and also as a leading company in Castilla-La Mancha, last September\u00a0construction work began on the new Eiffage Energ\u00eda headquarters in Albacete<\/strong><\/a>. The works are already progressing well, ahead of the opening in 2018, and with the GBCe Green Environmental Certificate<\/strong> thanks to the incorporation of eco-efficient materials at the facilities.<\/p>\n

Business Merit<\/p>\n

More recently, Eiffage Energ\u00eda received the Corporate Job-Creation Award<\/strong><\/a> thanks to having increased its workforce and based on other merits taken into consideration: the development of equality plans and occupational risk prevention campaigns, and the implementation of agreements and partnerships with associations that promote the integration of all people into the job market. In the past four years, the Eiffage Energ\u00eda group has increased its workforce by more than 70%<\/strong>, continuing to create jobs in all departments and business lines.<\/p>\n

New brand name<\/p>\n

The creation of Biomedical<\/strong> has involved hiring 70 highly qualified professionals with broad experience in the electromedical sector<\/strong><\/a>, strengthening the group\u2019s position in the maintenance of electromedical equipment. With technology as its base, this division offers high quality services to health facilities and centres.<\/p>\n

New subsidiaries and branches<\/p>\n

Opening of new branches in Madrid, Valladolid, Valencia and Seville (integral maintenance) and in Paterna (electromedical sector). And in La Mojonera (Almer\u00eda), Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, as new branches opened by the Southern Territorial division this year. In addition, Eiffage Energ\u00eda is continuing its expansion across all continents and to new countries, including Jamaica<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Noteworthy projects<\/p>\n

The construction of Huatacondo Photovoltaic Solar plant<\/strong><\/a> (Chile) with 103 MW of power, the electrical installations of the new building of the University campus of Iberdrola in San Agust\u00edn de Guadalix, the maintenance of substations and wind turbines for Iberdrola Renovables or the extension of the master agreement for the maintenance of the \u00a0low-voltage and medium-voltage power lines of Iberdrola\u2019s distribution grid <\/strong><\/a>and new O&M contracts for its PV power plants.<\/p>\n

Following this path filled with projects, it\u2019s time to set new goals for the coming year. We hope it will be a year full of good practices and good energies that preserve the environment and look after the planet for many more years. We\u2019re ready for anything!<\/p>\n
