World Environment Day. The emergence of COVID-19 has also demonstrated how disastrous the consequences of ecosystem destruction can be. By reducing the area of natural habitat for animals, we have created ideal conditions for pathogens, including coronaviruses, to spread. Faced with this major problem, the World Environment Day<\/b><\/a> focuses this year on the restoration of ecosystems under the slogan \u201cReimagine, recreate, restore\u201d. For over 10 years Eiffage<\/a> has been involved in fighting the erosion of biodiversity through successive commitments which have led the Group to assess the impact of its activities on natural environments and their ecosystemic dependencies, providing fertile ground for a new corporate culture focused on the preservation of living beings. <\/span> A commitment to biodiversity has also become an operational imperative for Eiffage<\/a>\u2019s businesses. Various partnerships, such as the work with the Humanity and Biodiversity Association since 2009, or being a stakeholder in the \u201cCountdown 2010\u201d initiative spearheaded by the IUCN<\/a> to help governments reduce biodiversity loss by the 2010 deadline, have helped to consolidate a corporate culture that respects life. A corporate culture based on the evaluation of the Group\u2019s impacts on natural environments and ecosystemic services. <\/span> During this period, Eiffage has published two internal charters, Biodiversity and Water and aquatic environments, which apply to the entire Group.<\/p>\n
