A benchmark that details the physical and transition risks due to climate change for the company\u2019s business model, as well as the business opportunities within a low-carbon economy. The group thus raises the commitments made in 2020 during publication of its first climate report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aligning towards the 1.5\u00baC pathway, based on the Science-Based Targets initiative<a href=\"https:\/\/sciencebasedtargets.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(SBTI<\/a>) criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcing the coherence of its commitment and ensuring that this pathway applies to all its lines of activity, without exception.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28304\" src=\"\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/notre_engagement_pour_lavenir_Pagina_47.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h3>Social and environmental responsibility strategy<\/h3>\n<p>For over ten years Eiffage has been working hard on its social and environmental responsibility strategy. Thus, from 2019, it has set itself two targets that complement each other:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To be exemplary on its own internal emissions, on which the group has levers for action.<\/li>\n<li>Mobilize all its skills, core activities, and search and development capabilities. All this to propose innovative low-carbon or decarbonised solutions. The aim is to significantly reduce emissions related to its customers\u2019 projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on its greenhouse gas emissions in 2019, the Group plans to reduce its internal emissions by at least 40% by 2030 compared to scopes 1 and 2.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>For the same year, the emissions listed in scope 3 above represent 85% of the greenhouse gas emissions of the Works in France branch.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28301\" src=\"\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/notre_engagement_pour_lavenir_Pagina_03.jpg\" alt=\"\"> In scope 3 above, all business lines, Eiffage underscores an ambitious commitment. The aim is to reduce it by at least 30% by 2030. A goal that can only be achieved with the close cooperation of the Group\u2019s regular suppliers of goods and services.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Environmentally friendly cities<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Through the 2021 climate report, the Group measures the impacts of each of its business lines.
