“All workers: sharing our good practices”. This was the theme of this year\u2019s safety month at Eiffage<\/a>. The celebration concluded with presentation of the awards for Good Practices<\/a> in what has been named the “Safety Challenge”. The purpose of this initiative is to involve all employees in the goal of enabling them to improve their own safety conditions. At the end of July, three best good practices were selected from among all the pre-selected candidates. These are the ones that will go on to compete in Paris with the winners from the different business groups that make up Eiffage\u2019s Energy branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winners were:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

-Juan Francisco Belmonte Vandelvira, with a portable tool for moving electrical panels weighing up to 1,000 kg. He received 16 points and a 65-inch LED television. -Juan Jos\u00e9 Rinc\u00f3n Nogales, with a distress bracelet connected to a worker\u2019s mobile phone. He received 14 points and a 55-inch LED television. -Inmaculada Concepci\u00f3n Mart\u00ednez P\u00e9rez, with a ladder equipped with a platform, safety handrail and two wheels to facilitate movement. She received a tablet.<\/p>\n

Awards ceremony<\/h3>\n

Our CEO and General Manager, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Mart\u00ednez, presented the awards. The awards ceremony was held at the Eiffage Energ\u00eda headquarters, from which a connection was made to the Zaragoza delegation, where Juan Jos\u00e9 Rinc\u00f3n Nogales works. Accompanying Jos\u00e9 Manuel Mart\u00ednez were: Domingo Molina, National Director of Distribution and Installations, Juan P\u00e9rez, Regional Director of the Central Zone, and Joaqu\u00edn Villar, Director of High Voltage. This activity is part of Eiffage\u2019s occupational safety improvement process. The related objectives are to encourage and promote comments and ideas on best practices in all types of risk situations, and to know how to identify and analyse high-risk situations and define preventive actions to be implemented.<\/p>\n

Safety, one of Eiffage\u2019s mainstays<\/h3>\n

Occupational risk prevention<\/a> is one of our mainstays. This is demonstrated by the company\u2019s low accident rates. At the moment, our Joint Prevention Service comprises more than 55 senior technicians in occupational risk prevention. These officers are distributed throughout the different geographical areas in which the group operates.
