The objective of this project was to construct an overland route from the landfall point of the submarine cable on the Malvarrosa beach, in Valencia, to connect it to the Control Centre facilities (telecommunications node) belonging to ALGERIE TELEC\u00d3M.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"638\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/orval-14b.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/orval-14b.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/orval-14b-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/orval-14b-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h3><strong>ORVAL Project:<\/strong><strong>\u00a012 km of telecommunications channels<\/strong><\/h3><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work consisted of: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\t12 km of channelling. From the cable termination station located on Malvarrosa beach, where it connects to the land-based cable running to its facilities. The route, which runs along many streets and avenues, crosses the entire city of Valencia.   <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\t11.5 km of trenches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\t5 units of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD or Moles) for a length in excess of 500 m, for special crossings. Crossings of several areas of railway infrastructure (ADIF, FGV), as well as a crossing under the new course of the Turia River.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\tLaying in trenches of 9 63mm rigid PVC pipes + 3 63mm corrugated pipes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\t100 units of reinforced concrete manholes, including 5 junction chambers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\tLaying of 12 km of fibre optic cable (LCP type).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\tLaying of 12 km of earth cable (XAV\/RVFV 1kV 2\u00d725).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\t12,000 m3 of concrete (HM-20 and MBRC HD-50\/65), supplied by the Eiffage Group\u2019s own concrete plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\t20,000 m2 of asphalt pavement, supplied by the Eiffage Group\u2019s own asphalt plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submarine cables have positioned themselves as key elements for global interconnections, and Spain is one of the most sought-after locations for these cables.\u00a0<strong>Our country is set to become a hub for dozens of submarine cables for telecommunication services.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"582\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/158746-Telecommunications-Ile-de-France-Eiffage-Leonard-de-Serres.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/158746-Telecommunications-Ile-de-France-Eiffage-Leonard-de-Serres.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/158746-Telecommunications-Ile-de-France-Eiffage-Leonard-de-Serres-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/158746-Telecommunications-Ile-de-France-Eiffage-Leonard-de-Serres-768x526.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h3><strong>Experience in interconnections<\/strong><\/h3><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2014,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiffageenergiasistemas.com\/en\/\">Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas<\/a>\u00a0participated in the Electricity Interconnection project between Spain and France, declared a Project of Common European Interest.
