From 18 September to 8 October the\u00a0European Sustainable Development Week<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is being held to promote the green transition by encouraging local action and raising public awareness of sustainable development. Almost at the same time, from 16 to 22 September, we are celebrating\u00a0European Mobility Week<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with the tag line \u201cMix it Up and Get Moving<\/strong>\u201d, aimed at getting people to opt for more eco-friendly means of transportation.<\/p>\n\n

At\u00a0Eiffage<\/a>\u00a0four themes have been identified as priorities for this year\u2019s European Sustainable Development Week. Topics that are at the heart of our daily business and align with several essential Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) supported by the Group: low carbon emissions, circular economy, biodiversity, and water.<\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n

Climate report<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

In 2023, Eiffage published its fourth\u00a0Climate Report<\/a>\u00a0in accordance with the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) standards. Through this transparency exercise, the Group is able to provide all its stakeholders with the following information:<\/p>\n\n

– Its comprehensive environmental strategy, based on the pillars of climate, biodiversity, sustainability, resources, and direct impact control.<\/p>\n\n

– Analysis of risks related to the consequences of climate change, in terms of mitigation and adaptation.<\/p>\n\n

– Low-carbon project opportunities enabling gradual decarbonization.<\/p>\n\n

In this context, several action plans are being implemented:<\/p>\n\n

Low Carbon Strategy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

In the context of the climate emergency, the Eiffage Group has set itself emission reduction targets in line with the 1.5\u00b0C trajectory, covering scope 1 and 2 by 46% and scope 3 by 30% during the period 2019-2030. This trajectory of the Group is currently being validated by SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative).<\/p>\n\n

Furthermore, Eiffage is mobilizing its value chain to better measure the carbon emissions of its purchases through the exchange and verification of product life cycle analysis data.<\/p>\n\n

In this regard, among its actions to reduce internal carbon emissions, the\u00a0Eiffage Group<\/a>\u00a0strives to optimise the energy consumption of its vehicles. So it is gradually phasing out the network of CO2-emitting company vehicles and promoting the choice of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n

The goal is to lead sustainable mobility in the sector and reduce the impact of our\u00a0ecological footprint<\/a>\u00a0to meet the European and Agenda 2030 commitments.<\/p>\n\n

It’s worth recalling that at the end of 2021, at\u00a0Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas<\/a>\u00a0we expanded our vehicle fleet with hybrid and more energy-efficient cars. This started the electrification process of our fleet.<\/p>\n\n

Biodiversity<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

Eiffage has renewed its commitment to biodiversity for the period 2023-2025 with OFB within the framework of the \u201cCompanies Committed to Nature\u201d system, with a detailed action plan covering the operational scope of the Group’s businesses.<\/p>\n\n

Circular Economy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

In late 2022, Eiffage formalized its circular economy strategy. Its goal is to reduce the extraction of virgin raw materials, characterize and reuse materials, extend the lifespan, and ensure the reversibility of structures.<\/p>\n\n

Integrated Innovation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

In July 2023, Eiffage and the industrial club Sekoya awarded prizes to five innovations that contribute to the preservation of water resources and responsible reconstruction, as part of their fifth invitation to present solutions.<\/p>\n\n
