Located within the municipal boundaries of Onda and Alcora, in the province of Castell\u00f3n, the project marks a further milestone in the delivery of advanced infrastructure designed to integrate clean energy into the electricity network.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New STM Sanch\u00eds substation for Iberdrola (i-DE) <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a fundamental component of the grid connection system, Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas is delivering the new 132 kV STM <strong>Sanch\u00eds remote-controlled switching substation<\/strong>, which will feature:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Three circuit-breaker ba<\/strong>ys in a <strong>132 kV single busbar<\/strong> configuration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent access directly from the public highway <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Infrastructure fully compliant with current regulations <strong>for handover to the electricity utility<\/strong>, Iberdrola (i-DE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remote operation from the <strong>i-DE Control Centre <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A new 20 kV underground line and transformer station <\/strong>connected to the local distribution network to supply auxiliary services for this new substation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The substation is located less than<strong> 50 metres <\/strong>from the existing <strong>&#8220;Corral del Cuervo &#8211; ST Vallat&#8221; <\/strong>line, optimising its integration into the grid.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BOS delivery \u00a0of the Duquesa Solar Plant\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas will deliver the photovoltaic plant under a <strong>BOS (Balance of System) scope<\/strong>, including the <strong>supply of mounting structures and BOP systems<\/strong>, ensuring a fully integrated solution that maximises operational efficiency and reliability.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With an installed capacity of <strong>25.3 MWp<\/strong>, the plant will make a significant contribution to renewable energy generation in the region.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hybridisation project: 24.4 MW \/ 70 MWh battery storage<\/strong><br\/>The project also incorporates <strong>battery hybridisation<\/strong> \u2014 a strategic infrastructure designed to enhance grid stability and expand the management capacity of the energy produced.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under a <strong>BOP<\/strong> scope, Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas is delivering a <strong>24.4 MW \/ 70 MWh<\/strong> energy storage system, enabling the facility to:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Store surplus solar generation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dispatch energy flexibly <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce peak demand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase the plant&#8217;s operational efficiency <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The combination of photovoltaic generation and energy storage positions this installation as a next-generation asset, aligned with European energy transition objectives.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Driving the energy transition in the Valencian Community<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this development, Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas continues to consolidate its role as a key player in the construction of renewable infrastructure and advanced storage systems, delivering comprehensive solutions for clients such as Sonnedix.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Duquesa project will further strengthen Castell\u00f3n\u2019s energy capacity, accelerate decarbonisation, and contribute to the development of facilities that ensure a more sustainable and reliable electricity supply.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eiffage Energ\u00eda Sistemas is set to commence works on the grid connection and hybridisation of the Duquesa Solar Photovoltaic Plant, a Sonnedix project that further strengthens the commitment to renewable generation and energy storage in the Valencian Community.
