Eiffage Energía Sistemas adds 12 truck-mounted cranes to its fleet

We have just taken delivery of 12 trucks fitted with articulated hydraulic cranes from Palfinger, a major manufacturer and partner in our innovation, sustainability and safety strategy.

These cranes will be used for distribution, maintenance and construction work on low, medium and high voltage networks, as well as for loading and unloading all types of goods and tools.

Business relationship with Palfinger

Our business relationship with Palfinger dates back many years. Since the inception of the Eiffage Energía Sistemas Group in Spain, its vehicles have always been present in our fleet. Its product range covers most of our needs in the field of articulated hydraulic cranes.

Ease of operation, high levels of cost effectiveness, after-sales service, and safety systems are just some of the factor that set this supplier apart.

At Eiffage Energía Sistemas we place great value on the fact that the entire assembly, bodywork and certification process is carried out by a network of official dealers who are trained and supervised by Palfinger Ibérica. The minimum quality standards are also audited by this company, which gives us certainty and allows us to standardise criteria.

The Eiffage Energía Sistemas fleet

The Eiffage Energía Sistemas Group’s fleet currently consists of 2,900 vehicles. Most of these vehicles are contracted on a rental or leasing basis. The company also purchases its own vehicles that are specifically adapted for very specialised work.

These special vehicles include truck mounted cranes and trucks with lifting platforms for live-line work. The safety and efficiency of this equipment is essential for the Eiffage Energy Systems Group. For this reason, there is a continuous renewal plan in place to ensure that vehicles that meet age or maximum permitted service life criteria are renewed; the group also has a fleet expansion plan, which aims to provide ever greater safety when carrying out work and a better service to our customers.

We have made a major investment in this latest renewal of our fleet, which covers the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, which has enabled us to acquire the following vehicles: 30 truck-mounted cranes. Trucks, all equipped with cranes, made by different manufacturers such as Renault, Mercedes and Man.

Reduction of carbon emissions

In addition, it should be emphasised that by the end of 2021, we completed the expansion of our fleet with hybrid and more energy-efficient vehicles. This started the electrification process of our fleet.

In this regard, among its actions to reduce internal carbon emissions, the Eiffage Group strives to optimise the energy consumption of its vehicles. So it is gradually phasing out the network of CO2-emitting company vehicles and promoting the choice of electric vehicles.

The goal is to lead sustainable mobility in the sector and reduce the impact of our ecological footprint to meet the European and Agenda 2030 commitments.
