Phase 1 of the extension of t Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Albacete was officially inaugurated today at a ceremony presided over by the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, accompanied by representatives of the regional government, SESCAM, and provincial and local authorities.
This is a strategic project for the city and the region, which will enable the provision of more modern, accessible and high-quality healthcare to the public.

A major project
The first phase of the extension, completed in July, with an investment of more than €140 million, includes new hospital wards, operating theatres, outpatient clinics and outpatient care areas. With these facilities, the hospital complex has taken a qualitative and quantitative leap forward in its healthcare capacity.

Specifically, the scope of Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ work included the installation of low and medium voltage electrical systems; a 166 KWP photovoltaic installation; an air conditioning and ventilation system; and electric vehicle charging points.
Commitment to projects with social impact
The inauguration of this first phase represents a decisive step towards the transformation of the Albacete University Hospital Complex, which is expected to cover an area of nearly 100,000 m² in the coming years, consolidating its position as a benchmark in healthcare infrastructure in Castilla-La Mancha.
