We are proud to share one of the most recent milestones of our subsidiary Eiffage Conscytec: the completion of the first Passivhaus-certified residential building in Castilla-La Mancha, located in the Imaginalia area of Albacete.
This 18-unit sustainable building is the first Passivhaus-certified residential building in Castilla-La Mancha and features common areas such as a swimming pool, gym and children’s play areas, all designed to offer maximum comfort with minimum energy consumption.
This milestone reinforces our commitment to building a more sustainable future and achieving our goal of reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Passivhaus buildings make a difference
Passivhaus buildings are a type of housing focused on energy efficiency, thanks to their design standards and minimal energy consumption.
For a home to be considered Passivhaus, it must meet the following requirements:
- Thermal insulation
- Thermal bridges
- Air tightness
- High-performance windows
- Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
With the construction of this building, Eiffage Conscytec has significantly exceeded the requirements of the Technical Building Code (CTE), reducing heating and cooling needs by up to 75% compared to conventional buildings.
