Eiffage Energía Sistemas has carried out the reconstruction and refurbishment work at the Catarroja courthouse (Valencia) following the significant damage caused by the DANA that affected the Spanish Levante region in October 2024.
The project, promoted by the Regional Ministry of Justice and Public Administration of the Valencian Regional Government, with a budget of around €1.4 million, was carried out under an emergency contract, given the need to restore judicial activity to safe and operational conditions.
The work was carried out by the maintenance office for the eastern region, within the framework agreement for comprehensive maintenance managed and coordinated by Isabel Jordán as branch officer, and Mónica Otieza, in addition to all the field teams.
Comprehensive civil engineering and installation work
The works include actions in the basement and ground floor of the building, areas that suffered serious damage due to the accumulation of water and mud.
Eiffage Energía Sistemas was involved in both civil engineering and technical installations, covering essential areas including accesses, courtrooms, cells, the civil registry, archives and the technical rooms. The aim is to restore the building to full operational capacity, ensuring maximum safety, efficiency and comfort.
Commitment to resilience and safety
This project is a further example of Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ commitment to rebuilding critical infrastructure affected by extreme weather events.
The work in Catarroja reinforces the company’s experience in rapid and coordinated emergency responses, combining the technical capacity and organisational agility of its teams in the area of Maintenance and Electromedicine.
With this project, Eiffage Energía Sistemas is helping to strengthen the resilience of public services and restore normality as soon as possible to facilities that are essential for the public.
