Eiffage Energía Sistemas is carrying out the refurbishment of the façades of the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid, commissioned by the Regional Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid through the Madrid Health Service (SERMAS).
This is one of the four main hospitals with a reputation for healthcare excellence in the Community of Madrid, with 1,200 beds, located in the northern part of the capital.
The project, with a budget of €11.8 million, is financed by Next Generation EU funds and involves comprehensive energy upgrade and architectural renovation work on one of the region’s leading hospitals.
Actions
The main actions include:
- The creation of new ventilated façades on the main building, including the replacement of metalwork, ensuring the continuity of hospital operations during the works.
- The repair of the existing façades on the secondary buildings of the complex.
- The replacement of the roofs of the left-hand inner courtyard of the main building.
- The refurbishment of the canopies of the outpatient building.
Synergies
This project, developed by the Central Zone Reforms and Refurbishments Department, is being carried out in collaboration with the company’s Maintenance and Electromedicine departments, reinforcing internal synergies and the group’s multidisciplinary technical capacity.
In addition to improving the building’s aesthetics and functionality, the project contributes to reducing energy consumption and improving thermal and acoustic comfort, in line with the sustainability and energy efficiency goals promoted by the European Union.
