Eiffage Energía Sistemas, through its subsidiary Eiffage Conscytec, has built the new Enjoy Wellness Sports Complex in Albacete, designed by architect Luis Álvarez, which was inaugurated last weekend.
This centre, which has already become a local landmark, is the largest sports and health club in the city, aimed at offering a holistic experience of sport, wellbeing and health.
The building, with its unique and efficient design, has a ground floor, first floor and roof, as well as a large 4,500 m² underground car park with 146 parking spaces.
The facility has more than 2,000 m² of multi-purpose and fitness rooms, three swimming pools (one indoor 25 x 12.5 m, one teaching pool and one outdoor pool on the roof); a hydrotherapy area and indoor spa; games room, kids room and vending area; two outdoor padel tennis courts; and outdoor multi-sport courts.
Electrical and mechanical installations
In addition to the civil engineering, Eiffage Energía Sistemas has been responsible for the electrical and mechanical installations, with special emphasis on the air conditioning and control systems, which are essential to ensure the building’s comfort and energy efficiency.
We installed and supplied 25 electrical panels that will provide service to the entire building; 88 x 540 MW PV panels on the roof; four electric vehicle charging points with 22 KW chargers integrated with the building control; medium and low voltage works; and the complete fire detection system.
Moreover, our subsidiary SGAC also participated in the project by carrying out the entire control system and Building Management System (BMS).
Commitment to sustainability
This project also stands out for its commitment to sustainability, as it incorporates a photovoltaic self-consumption installation to generate part of its energy demand; and for the environmental action carried out during its execution, such as the transplanting of 17 trees in the playgrounds of the adjoining school.
The centre created up to 75 direct jobs during the construction phase and currently employs 35 people in its daily operations.
At Eiffage Energía Sistemas we continue to work on the construction of spaces that have a positive impact on people’s health, providing innovative and sustainable solutions at the service of society.
