Eiffage Energy Systems has completed the electrical works required for the Project of Special Interest (PSI) “El Terminillo New Public Area” in Cuenca.
This project has been key to the launch of the New Provincial University Hospital in Cuenca, which began operating last July and is considered by the regional government to be a priority measure to strengthen healthcare in the province and throughout Castile-La Mancha.
The hospital features new medical specialties, hospitalisation and surgical areas, as well as a major boost to health research.
Electrical supply and public lighting
Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ work included the provision of medium and low -voltage electrical infrastructure, as well as public lighting for the entire El Terminillo development, where the hospital and a sports innovation project are located.
- Medium and low voltage: The electrical network will consist of transformer stations, conductors and conduits running throughout the development, where conduits and lines already existed in the area but were incomplete or did not comply with regulations, and have therefore been upgraded.
- Public lighting: The existing installation, which consisted of columns and poles with VSAP luminaires, has been completed, incorporating control panels, power cabling and the replacement of luminaires with LED technology, thus improving the facility’s energy efficiency and sustainability.
A necessary measure for safety and healthcare
The execution of this work was essential to ensure:
- The safe and efficient transfer and care of hospitalised and critical patients (ICU).
- User safety (pedestrians and vehicles) when accessing the new hospital and the new public area.
With this project, Eiffage Energía Sistemas reaffirms its commitment to the development of strategic infrastructure for citizens, contributing to improving the quality of care and modernising public services in Castile-La Mancha.
