The Alberic Town Council has entrusted Eiffage Energía Sistemas with the refurbishment of the Convent of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, an iconic building in this Valencian town dating back to 1689.
With a budget of around one million euros, the project aims to restore life and functionality to a space that has had multiple uses throughout its history, from a convent and school to a prison and Civil Guard barracks, and which is currently in an advanced state of dilapidation.
Intervention
The intervention has two main aspects:
- Reconstruction and structural consolidation of walls and roofs, ensuring the stability and safety of the architectural ensemble.
- Improvement of habitability and energy efficiency, with actions aimed at achieving almost zero consumption, by insulating the thermal envelope and installing high energy efficiency systems.
The project also includes a comprehensive refurbishment of the convent’s interiors to encourage its use by the public as a cultural and community space.
The work, carried out by the Refurbishment and Renovation Department, began on 30 May 2025 and is scheduled for completion on 30 December 2025.
This initiative reinforces Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ commitment to sustainability, heritage conservation and energy innovation, contributing to the development of more efficient spaces that serve the community.
