Eiffage Energía Sistemas has been selected by Capital Energy to deliver two strategic projects linked to the development of wind power infrastructure in Castile and León, in the provinces of Palencia and Soria, with a total capacity of 270 MW, including high-voltage evacuation infrastructure, for a total amount of over €80 million.
The projects, which are part of Capital Energy’s roadmap towards a more sustainable energy model, reinforce Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ position as a leading partner in the comprehensive development of renewable and high-voltage facilities, combining technical capabilities, experience and a global vision of the project.
Canales Sur Wind Farm (Palencia)
Eiffage Energía Sistemas will carry out the engineering, supply, construction, commissioning and restoration work associated with both the civil and electrical aspects of the project at Canales Sur Wind Farm, located in the province of Palencia, with an installed capacity of 120 MW.
The scope of the work includes:
- Canales Sur Wind Farm (120 MW).
- Canales Sur 132/30 kV step-up substation, equipped with a 140 MVA power transformer.
- 132 kV single-circuit underground evacuation line with a total length of 12.05 kilometres.
This project will contribute significantly to the promotion of renewable energy generation in the region and have a positive impact on employment and local economic development during its implementation phase.
Terrer Wind Cluster
The second contract corresponds to the Terrer wind cluster, located between the provinces of Soria and Zaragoza, consisting of three wind farms with a combined capacity of 150 MW.
Key synergies between Renewable Energy and High Voltage
The execution of both projects highlights the synergies between the Renewable Energy (Wind) and High Voltage departments of Eiffage Energía Sistemas, enabling us to offer a comprehensive solution ranging from wind farm development to very high voltage evacuation infrastructure.
This internal coordination is key to ensuring technical efficiency, optimising deadlines and meeting the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability in highly complex projects.
With these new contracts, Eiffage Energía Sistemas reaffirms its commitment to energy transition, the development of strategic infrastructure and the generation of economic and social value in the regions where it operates.
