José Manuel Martínez unveils Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ ambitious strategic plan to exceed €2 billion by 2030

In an exclusive interview published today in El Periódico de la Energía, José Manuel Martínez, CEO of Eiffage Energía Sistemas and its representative in Spain, the company’s performance over the past financial year, the evolution of the energy market and the key pillars of its new 2026–2030 Strategic Plan. The plan targets revenues of more than €2 billion by 2030, compared with over €1.3 billion expected in 2025.

Martínez explains that the company’s growth trajectory — which has positioned Eiffage Energía Sistemas as the European leader in installed solar power capacity and the world’s third-largest player in its segment — rests on two core pillars: cutting edge technology and a strong customer centric approach.

2025 results and international expansion

According to Martínez, 2025 was a year of intense activity, characterised by growth of more than 20% and the successful integration of several strategic acquisitions. These included the CVS Group, M3i Controls and Inmotechnia, which have strengthened the Group’s capabilities in automation, industrial refrigeration and intelligent management systems.

He also highlights Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ expanding international footprint, with operations in Italy, Ireland, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Belgium and Portugal, further consolidating the Group’s global presence.

Renewable energies and the energy transition

Against a challenging sector backdrop — marked by the recent major blackout and a slowdown in renewable energy investment — the company reports a stable business portfolio, with approximately 30% of its activity directly linked to the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects.

Martínez underlines the growing importance of hybrid projects combining wind power, photovoltaic generation and battery storage. In this field, Eiffage Energía Sistemas is already actively involved in projects in both Spain and Portugal.

Electricity grids and maintenance

The CEO stresses that the development of transmission and distribution networks is essential to enabling the energy transition. In this context, he recalls the company’s key role in the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including the management of nearly 700 substations across Spain.

2026-2030 growth strategy

The new Strategic Plan is built on a dual approach to growth. On the one hand, organic growth will be driven by strengthening core activities and accelerating the digitalisation of services. On the other, inorganic growth will focus on targeted acquisitions that generate clear added value. The overarching objective is to surpass €2 billion in revenues by 2030, thereby consolidating Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ position as a global integrator of end to end (360°) energy solutions.

Talent, innovation and sustainability

Martínez identifies the attraction and retention of talent as a strategic priority, alongside the deployment of advanced technologies — including Artificial Intelligence — to optimise operation and maintenance processes. He also reiterates the company’s firm commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles, which he describes as a key differentiating factor in the market.
