In line with its commitment to energy efficiency and industrial innovation, Eiffage Energía Sistemas has implemented an advanced automated control system in the freezing tunnel of La Jijonenca. The well-known company from Alicante has more than 50 years of experience in the production of nougat and artisan ice cream.
The tunnel allows the almost instantaneous freezing of products, ensuring their quality and preservation.
Scope of the project
Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ intervention consisted of the automation and control of the conveyor belts and the product collection wheel, as well as the manufacture and delivery of the control and power panels. Work also took place on the cold compressor management system, modifying the project to add the new extensions.
This new system has optimised energy consumption, reduced waste and improved operational efficiency. This contributes to a more sustainable process in line with good environmental practices in the sector.
Historical company
La Jijonenca, which is celebrating more than half a century of history, has demonstrated a constant commitment to innovation without renouncing its artisan essence. With a network of more than 900 points of sale in Spain and an outstanding presence in the market for nougats with Designation of Origin, the company continues to strengthen its position as a benchmark in the national food sector.
This joint project between Eiffage Energía Sistemas and La Jijonenca exemplifies how collaboration between companies can boost the modernisation of industrial processes, improving the competitiveness and sustainability of the Spanish food industry.
