Ludovic Duplan visits construction site of Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ new headquarters in Valencia

Ludovic Duplan, Chairman of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, visited the construction site of Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ new regional headquarters in Valencia, accompanied by José Manuel Martínez, CEO of Eiffage Energía Sistemas and Eiffage’s representative in Spain.

During the visit, both executives were able to check on the progress of a strategic project for the company, designed to be a benchmark in sustainability, energy efficiency and construction innovation.

The new headquarters, located on a 5,800 m² plot in Quart de Poblet, will feature a 2,700 m² office building, a 3,600 m² warehouse and 1,950 m² of landscaped outdoor spaces and a storage and training area.

The complex, built jointly by Eiffage Energía Sistemas for the facilities and Eiffage Conscytec for the civil works, has been designed according to low-carbon construction criteria, incorporating advanced technical solutions and eco-efficient materials that will reduce energy consumption and minimise environmental impact. Our subsidiary SGAC is responsible for the control and automation systems.

A benchmark in sustainable construction

The project integrates an industrialised modular structural system with hybrid wood and low-carbon concrete slabs, as well as industrialised modular exterior enclosure systems with lightweight timber framing and ventilated facades.

In addition, the new headquarters will have a microgrid that combines solar generation, energy storage and smart charging for electric vehicles:

  • 256 kWp peak power from the solar photovoltaic installation.
  • 230 kWh of energy storage battery capacity.
  • 40 charging points for electric vehicles with an intelligent management system.

Heating and cooling will be provided by high-efficiency heat pumps; 100% LED lighting with DALI regulation, and a centralised BEMS monitoring and control system that will optimise energy consumption and overall building management.

The new headquarters aims to achieve VERDE GBCE (4 leaves) Sustainable Construction certification, aligned with the European Level(s) framework and integrated with the European Taxonomy of sustainable activities.

Social impact and territorial commitment

Beyond its technical dimension, the new headquarters will have a significant impact on the environment, enhancing the company’s regional presence and generating employment: more than 250 direct jobs and more than 1,000 indirect jobs linked to activity in the area.

During the visit, Ludovic Duplan highlighted the strategic importance of the project within the Group’s international growth, emphasising that “these new headquarters reflects Eiffage’s commitment to innovation, decarbonisation and operational excellence”.

For his part, José Manuel Martínez pointed out that this infrastructure “not only consolidates our position in the Valencian Community, but also symbolises our firm commitment to a more sustainable and efficient construction model, in line with European climate objectives”.

The new headquarters in Valencia is thus conceived as a space designed to promote collaboration, innovation and the development of sustainable energy solutions, in line with the Eiffage Group’s global strategy.
