The aim of the Eiffage Group is to become a leader in occupational risks prevention


The Eiffage Group, in its more than 500 subsidiaries worldwide, is developing a broad communication campaign to convey the rules that define the framework of the strategic plan in the area of security for all workers of the company.

Security is the top priority for the Eiffage Group and it aims to become the leader in the field of occupational risks prevention in each of the business lines.

In the words ofBenoît de Ruffray, CEO of the Eiffage Group, “we must make continuous demands for safety to be the protagonist of our daily interventions and to achieve that prevention is a common aspect among all of us”.

To this end, during the training sessions that are held in the various subsidiaries, within this global communication campaign, we are working on the Letter of Commitment and thesix key points which require the true commitment of all employees to observe them.

The implementation of the key points is immediate: Allocation, Collective Protection, Personal Protection, Machines, vehicles or loads in movement, Security harness, Signalling and Lighting. By complying with these, all that is necessary for adoptingadequate security measures is carried out, ensuring the physical integrity of each employee.

Moreover, the Letter of Commitment covers 12 points, compliance with which is mandatory to ensure safety in the workplace. It is a point of reference among customers and competitors.

Among these points it should be highlighted that all management and direction personnel, during the six months following their appointment, receive training in safety management; the subject of security takes first place at management meetings, meetings with all the staff of an entity, operation meetings and on business points; any work or contract is subjected to a written risk analysis prior to the start of work; and non-compliance with the safety regulations is subject to penalties.

The training sessions are given by theterritorial managers, delegates, site managers and supervisors, who underlined how important for the company is the issue of occupational safety, which is why Zero toleranceexists, and recalled the ambition of becoming the leader in the field of occupational risk prevention in each market.

Therefore, the slogan “Together towards excellence in safety” presides over every corner of the Eiffage Group, for which safety is the top priority, an essential value of the Energy Branch and a priority in its strategic plan.
