Conscytec, Eiffage Energía’s subsidiary construction company, has its 15th anniversary. It was created in 2002 and emerged as a need to give coverage to the increasing activity in construction of its parent company Electrosur XXI (subsequently Eiffage Energía), mainly in the field of civil engineering associated with the works of power generation: wind farms, solar plants, transformer substations, or works in combined-cycle plants.
It is specialised in the implementation and management of projects in the building and civil engineering sectors. It offers a comprehensive service, which includes new construction, rehabilitation and refurbishment taking part in all phases of the project until making the “Turnkey” delivery, according to the customer’s needs.
The acquisition of Electrosur in 2003 by the multinational Eiffage marked a radical shift in the strategic plan of the company, expanding its activity to another type of work and customer without neglecting what had always been its traditional activity.
Conscytec bases its activity on the strong commitment to its customers, ensuring a process of continuous improvement, focusing its work on technological development and diversification, thus allowing it to tackle projects both nationally and internationally with the greatest guarantees.
In 2014, Conscytec started its international career collaborating with Eiffage Energía in the development of important renewable energy projects in Poland, the United Kingdom and Chile.
Currently, it has become the benchmark construction company in the Eiffage Group in Spain thanks to the implementation of projects of major significance, in the areas in which it is a specialist: Remodelling of Shopping Centres, Unique Projects, Private Residential Construction, Industrial Installations and Civil Engineering for Renewable Energy; for first level customers such as, for example, the construction of the office building Torre 4 Porta Firal in Barcelona for Iberdrola Inmobiliaria with 16 floors above ground level and more than 17,000 m2 constructed; the refurbishment of the Les Glories Shopping Centre in Barcelona for Unibail-Rodanco, among others.
The latest contracts awarded to the company have given it another step forward in its upward trajectory. In this respect, should be highlighted the implementation of the “Torre Parc Glòries” (Parc Glories Tower), an office building of 25,000 m2 for Inmobiliaria Colonial in Barcelona, the construction of 96 houses in Albacete in the Olimpo Complex or the works of Earthmoving and Excavation of the Shopping Centre for Unibail-Rodanco in Benidorm.
In addition to all these projects, among the most important achievements of the company should be highlighted the construction in 2005/2006 of the Maranchon wind farm in Guadalajara, in a record time of 6 months. At that time, it was the biggest wind park in Europe.
Theses days, Conscytec manages a turnover that exceeds 25 million euros per year, with a workforce of 40 employees.
