We have been selected to supply and install four solar trees in the city of Valencia.
The project, which we are working on for the Valencia City Council, aims to install solar trees to power several electric charging points for bicycles and scooters, as well as mobile devices such as phones, tablets and laptops.
The design is conceived as an off-grid Solar Photovoltaic installation. The system consists of a highly visible and aesthetically pleasing solar structure that houses the solar modules that capture the sun’s energy and store it.
In the vicinity, there will be a structure that serves as a parking and recharging station for electric bikes and skateboards.
Each photovoltaic tree will have an output of approximately 3.84 kWp and a maximum annual production of 5,300 kWh. They will be just over six and a half metres high and almost nine square metres wide, meaning that they will also provide shade as a secondary benefit.
This is part of the city of Valencia’s firm commitment to renewable energies and a new, more sustainable form of mobility. This is just one of many steps being taken towards the energy transition and ensuring that Valencia will be a climate-neutral city by 2030.
