Eiffage Energía Sistemas continues to strengthen its technical and operational capacity in the development of renewable energy with the addition of three new state-of-the-art pile drivers intended for the construction of photovoltaic plants. With this acquisition, the company now owns 15 machines, consolidating its autonomy and efficiency in the execution of large-scale solar projects.
A boost for the solar mechanical assembly team
This investment represents a further boost for the solar mechanical assembly team, established in 2019 and specialising in one of the most critical phases of photovoltaic construction: the foundations.
The department currently comprises 56 professionals (including production managers, supervisors, construction managers and specialist operators) and has a solid track record in the sector, having participated in the execution of over 1,500 MW in the company’s key projects.
The combination of specialist talent, accumulated experience and in-house technology allows the team to guarantee high standards of quality, precision and adherence to deadlines on every project.
Cutting-edge technology at the service of the Ayora I Photovoltaic Plant
The new pile drivers are already in operation at one of the strategic projects currently being carried out by Eiffage Energía Sistemas: the Ayora I solar photovoltaic plant, developed by Iberdrola.
Eiffage Energía Sistemas is responsible for the complete BOP (Balance of Plant) works for the 180 MW Ayora I PV plant, as well as the corresponding 30 kV underground transmission infrastructure.
With an investment of over €43 million, the scope of the project includes: detailed engineering, preliminary studies, reception and management of equipment, civil works and electromechanical installation.
Given its capacity, size and technological level, Ayora I will be one of the most significant solar power plants in the Valencian Community.
In-house capacity to drive the growth of solar energy
The expansion of the fleet of specialised machinery strengthens Eiffage Energía Sistemas’ capacity to tackle photovoltaic projects that are increasingly demanding in terms of deadlines, scale and performance.
This commitment to in-house resources enables the company to increase its operational autonomy, optimise construction processes and offer a more flexible response to the growing demand for renewable infrastructure.
In this way, Eiffage Energía Sistemas continues to consolidate its role as a leading partner in the development of large-scale solar projects and in the transition towards a more sustainable energy model.
