At Eiffage Energía Sistemas Group, we reaffirm our commitment to the highest standards of electrical safety, a fundamental pillar in the development of our operational activities and projects.
On 11 March 2026, the new UNE 204008-1 standard was published, establishing additional requirements to the minimum standards set out in Royal Decree 614/2001, with the aim of strengthening protection against electrical risks in high-voltage live-line work. This new standard is crucial for ensuring the health and safety of professionals working in high-risk electrical environments.
Our Involvement in Electrical Safety Standardisation
Since February 2024, the Eiffage Energía Sistemas Group has been a member of the High Voltage Live Working (SC AT) and Low Voltage Live Working (SC BT) subcommittees of the UNE Technical Standardisation Committee 204 on Electrical Safety. In these working groups, we have been collaborating over the last two years on the drafting, development and updating of the General Instructions for Live Working, with the aim of transforming them into UNE standards.
This collaborative process has been key to ensuring that the standards are stricter, more precise and aligned with best practices, reflecting the sector’s needs and providing a solid framework for safety in electrical work.
Commitment to Innovation and Safety
Our technical and operational expertise has been essential to the analysis and improvement of these standards. We work closely with the main electricity companies and leading firms in the sector, with the shared aim of creating a safer working environment, reducing risks and promoting occupational safety at every stage of operations.
At the Eiffage Energía Sistemas Group, we understand that electrical safety is not merely an obligation, but a responsibility shared by all stakeholders in the industry.
