Eiffage Energía Sistemas will carry out the completion works for the urban development of sector 26 of La Milagrosa, in Jerez de la Frontera (in Cadiz province), under a contract worth almost one million euros, with a completion period of four months.
This project, commissioned by the City Council, aims to provide electricity to 13 building plots that until now lacked electrification, thus completing the urban amenities the second phase of this development. Together, these plots have a total buildable area of 43,670 m², with capacity for approximately 485 new homes.
Electrical installations in non-electrified areas
The work involves the complete electrification of Sector 26 “La Milagrosa”, completing the electrical infrastructure that was partially executed in previous phases of the development.
In the medium voltage area, the works include:
- Connection to the existing power grid.
- Construction of the planned transformer stations.
- Adaptation of the installations to the technical requirements of the distribution company e-Distribución.
- Preparation of the infrastructure for subsequent handover to the distributor.
As for low voltage, an underground electricity distribution network with a voltage of 230/400 V will be installed, configured in a ring to ensure greater supply reliability.
The actions will include:
- Installation of underground conduits and inspection cabinets.
- Installation of sectional boxes, distribution cabinets and general protection boxes.
- Laying of the necessary cabling for the network.
The total length of the low voltage network will be approximately 6,700 metres.

The project is key to the urban development of the area, as the lack of electrification had been one of the main obstacles to progress in residential construction.
The completion of this work will ensure that the homes currently under construction and those to be built in the future have all the necessary services and infrastructure, especially the electricity supply, which is an essential requirement for the future homes to be put into use.
