On 24 and 25 September, our Albacete headquarters became the meeting point for talent and for managing the people who make up Eiffage Énergie Systèmes. Over two days, heads of Human Resources departments from six countries came together to share experiences, align ways of working and move towards an international vision.
Six countries, one conversation
The meeting gathered colleagues from Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany, who compared notes on the situation in each country, its main challenges and the Human Resources initiatives under way.
Taking part were the Human Resources directors from these countries, along with the rest of their teams.
We came away from the two days with one clear idea. Each country has its own particularities, yet the challenges and the ambition are shared. Putting people at the centre remains the common thread running through Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ strategy
Strategic vision on the table
José Manuel Martínez, CEO of Eiffage Energía Sistemas and Eiffage’s representative in Spain and Portugal, joined the participants to explain how the company has evolved across Europe and preview the key challenges and workstreams shaping the next Strategic Plan.
We also used the meeting to discuss joint projects that nurture talent and encourage international mobility, opening the door for the group’s professionals to grow, share knowledge and build their careers within the company.
Each country’s Human Resources directors also had time to present their local context and analyse the organisation’s challenges together.
The sessions helped the Human Resources teams from the different countries agree on common criteria, share best practice and spark new ideas. They were also a reminder that working internationally does not mean everyone working the same way. It means learning from one another to find the best solutions together.
The programme included a team-building activity, split into teams, that took everyone out of their usual work setting and built trust between colleagues from different countries. There was also a round table with Asensio Rodríguez, director of Conscytec; Sandra Sánchez, head of International Photovoltaic Project Engineering in Europe; and Javier Calero, site manager in the Networks division.
Together, they discussed where human capital development stands today and where it is heading.
A starting point
The Albacete HR Meeting leaves behind far more than two days of meetings: connections, fresh ideas and shared projects, along with the certainty that there are people behind every strategy. Connecting talent across countries and cultures lets us share experiences, create new opportunities and build something bigger, together.
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes keeps moving towards ever more international and collaborative people management, creating opportunities for its talent and strengthening a shared culture built on diversity and growth.
